Neighbors, Inc. has been providing a furniture matching program for many years. We have been able to help people in need be connected to free furniture. It has been a good program and many people have been helped.
Furniture donations have become less frequent and it has become harder to verify the good condition of pieces offered by donors. We have noticed clients in need often have barriers to picking up furniture which makes it difficult to complete matches.
We have decided to end the Furniture Matching Program effective November 30th, 2018. We will monitor client needs over the next year. If we are able to demonstrate enough need is present we will consider participating in other furniture programs available in our area.
We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all of the donors, volunteers, and staff who have contributed to this program. Good deeds have been done and many people are better off. We are thankful for all the generous contributions of time, talent and treasure.
