The Neighbors food shelf is open from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m., and the office is open Monday – Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Neighbors serves the northern Dakota County communities of:

  • Inver Grove Heights
  • South St. Paul
  • West St. Paul
  • Mendota Heights
  • Mendota
  • Sunfish Lake
  • Lilydale

We ask that persons applying for emergency assistance to provide a form of photo identification and some form of address verification.

When you visit our food shelf, or use any other of our services, we do not report your name or other identifying information to any other agency without your express consent.

Neighbors’ food shelf provides food for individuals and families in need of short-term assistance. Each family served through the food shelf receives sufficient food for three meals a day for a week.

Distribution point for this federally sponsored food program. Individuals 60+ years old that meet eligibility guidelines receive a monthly food package.

Dial-A-Ride
Drivers provide rides to medical or dental appointments, counseling appointments or similar necessary appointments. Volunteers pick up passengers at their homes, take them to their appointments, and then take them home again.
