Our friends from the TC Burger Club are back to review another round of burgers for the Great Neighbors’ Food Fight competition and fundraiser. They sampled the remaining four burgers in this year’s competition and are happy to share their thoughts with you. Here is what they had to say about the final burger of the competition (and reigning restaurant champion) BLVD Bar + Grille:

Oaxacan Burger

House made beef chorizo patty stuffed with Oaxaca cheese and topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, Raja’ and fresh avocado served on a toasted brioche bun

Do your Juicy Lucy-loving tastebuds a favor by taking a trip south of the (St Paul) border for BLVD’s take on a Mexican-style burger. They substitute beef for chorizo and stuff it with Oaxaca cheese before piling on loads of fresh toppings (including avocado!).

Seeing as there’s a roll of paper towels on each table at BLVD, it shouldn’t have been a surprise when a huge messy sandwich was brought our table, but in case we have not made it clear – this is a big sandwich! It’s so big that we would recommend putting the toothpick back in the brioche bun after removing the grilled pepper from the top, since the burger will fall apart when you try to eat it otherwise (we learned this from experience).

We loved the fries, especially with the sauce that came with for dipping!
