Summer is just around the corner and Neighbors has some great ways to help your neighbors in need. In addition to our year-round opportunities, there are three summer-specific programs that are currently looking for people to fill open spots, including:

  • Spread the word during parades – Looking for a fun, family-friendly opportunity? Volunteers are needed to carry banners and pass out candy/prizes to kids along the parade route with our beloved mascot Delbert the Duck. View the schedule and sign up here.
  • Serve meals at local schools – Love working with kids? Passionate about hunger relief? Just need to get out of the house this summer? Help with Neighbors’ summer meals program! Volunteers are needed to serve meals, help with food prep for breakfast and lunch shifts and build relationships with students in the community. Additional details and sign up information can be found here.
  • Connect with individuals at local farmers markets – Enjoy getting out in the community? Staff one of our farmers market tables in either South St. Paul (Wednesdays, 4 – 6 p.m.) or West St. Paul (10 a.m. – noon)! Volunteers are needed to provide information about Neighbors and collect food donations. If interested, call 651.306.2145 or email volunteer@neighborsmn.org.
