A very happy birthday to the one and only Virginia (Ginger) Milbert!
On June 26th, we celebrated a very special birthday at Neighbors – Virginia, our longest serving volunteer, turned 102 years young. Virginia has been with Neighbors since day one and remembers when it operated out of a small storage closet at a local church. (She even remembers when Neighbors got its first telephone line.) To celebrate this milestone birthday, we temporarily re-named the Clothes Closet Thrift Store “Virginia’s Closet” for the day. Virginia currently volunteers twice a week in the Clothes Closet. If you see her, make sure to wish her a happy belated birthday!
