book driveEvery Child Should Receive a New Book this Holiday Season Campaign
through November 15 at the South St. Paul Public Library

The South St. Paul Public Library, Mayor’s Youth Task Force, Kids’ Choice and Neighbors, Inc. are again teaming up to provide new books to kids of all ages through the Love Your Neighbor Holiday Program. Monetary donations will be accepted through November 15 at the library.

November 20, 4 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church

Perfect music for a Sunday afternoon. Come, relax, enjoy songs of quiet reflection. A free will offering will be collected at the end of the concert benefiting the Neighbors, Inc. food shelf.

through November at Inver Grove Chiropractic and Wellness

Inver Grove Chiropractic and Wellness is expressing their gratitude this Thanksgiving by helping those in need. If you would like to help, they will be collecting funds through November — and providing a matching grant — to benefit Neighbors, Inc. Just stop by their office to make your donation. Drs. Ross, Amy and the team, thank you for your donation and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.

hat-mitten driveHat and Mitten Drive
through December 15 at South St. Paul City Hall

Hands, heads and hearts come in all sizes. The South St. Paul Mayor’s Youth Task Force is collecting hats and mittens for Neighbors, Inc. Instead of placing ornaments on the official tree, the Task Force is inviting the community to attend the Annual Tree Lighting on November 27 at Central Square Community Center and bring hats and mittens with them to place on the tree. Donations can also be dropped off at City Hall through December 15.

Winter Interludes Concert
December 15, 7 p.m. at the South St. Paul Public Library

Celebrate winter at the South St. Paul Library with music by the fireplace from librarians Amy Commers (flute) and Kathy Halgren (Celtic harp). Selections range from Gaelic to classical to holiday tunes. Please consider bringing a toy or non-perishable food item to donate to Neighbors, Inc. Refreshments will be served.

ABSECSpaghetti Eating Contest
December 16, 4 p.m. at Anchor Bank

Help us raise money to support Neighbors, Inc. and then watch your favorite Anchor Bankers compete in a messy spaghetti eating contest. Donations will be collected through December 16.

Cookie Decorating Party
December 17,  2 to 4:30 p.m. at Amore Coffee (West St. Paul)

Celebrate the season by decorating some delicious cookies at Amore Coffee in West St. Paul. Cost of admission is a new toy or gift for Neighbors’ Love Your Neighbor Holiday Program.

“Yuletide Echoes” Concert by Gerrit Lamain & Friends
December 18, 4 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church

Join organist Gerrit Willem Lamain & Friends, The Jennifer Lane Trio, Mike Westmoreland, Catherine Zinner and the St. Stephen’s Bell Choir for a Christmas concert benefiting Neighbors.
