America Saves Week
February 21 – 26, 2022

Neighbors’ Financial Empowerment Program aims to improve the financial well-being of those in the communities we serve.  Some of the ways we do this is by helping people stretch their dollars and save money. We provide education, access to safe products and opportunities to build skills around a variety of financial topics including savings and filing taxes.  

DID YOU KNOW…

For many low- and middle-income tax filers, a tax return is the largest payment they receive each year. During 2021, the average return for filers was $2,275. According to the IRS, working family tax credits lifted an estimated 9 million people out of poverty including 5 million (or more than half) children. 

Neighbors will feature savings strategies on our Facebook page during America Saves Week, February 21-25.
